Looking to add a little spice to your holiday stockings and boost one of the Jersey Shore's favorite towns? Treat your friends and family to one of the season's best edible adventures and save yourself some green as well with tickets for the Belmar Restaurant Tour, scheduled for Sunday, March 10, 2013.
The Belmar Restaurant Tour is a great way to sample Belmar's eclectic eateries. Famous for the state's largest seafood festival, Belmar boasts some of the area's most renowned restaurants, with
tastes ranging from Jersey Shore BBQ to vegetarian favorite Kaya's Kitchen, seafood houses such as long standing Klein's Waterside Café and Mr. Shrimp, and ethnic bistros Kotta Sushi, Ragin' Cajun, Ciellito Lindo and 10th Avenue Burrito, among many others. The tour runs from 11:30 am until 4:30 pm. Each restaurant will offer samples portions of their signature dish. A free van services will transport visitors through town to the participating restaurants, courtesy of the Belmar Tourism Commission. Over 1500 people participated in the tour in 2012.
"People look forward to the Restaurant Tour as a way for to shake off their winter doldrums and rediscover Belmar," said Mayor Matt Doherty. "Now more than ever, our businesses - downtown and on Ocean Avenue - need the shot in the arm that fun afternoon brings."
Specially priced advance tickets for the Belmar Restaurant Tour, scheduled for Sunday, March 10, 2013, go on sale Monday, December 10th. Tickets are $25 through December 31st, and will be available online at www.visitbelmarnj.com as well as at Brandl. Restaurant and 10th Avenue Burrito, both located in Belmar Plaza between 10th and 8th Avenues. Ticket prices will be $30 from January 1 through March 9th and, if still available, $35 on the day of tour.
