ALERT DETAILS:

The Borough of Belmar would like to notify residents that on 8/13/2020 at approximately 6pm-9pm the Belmar Fire Department will be utilizing a fire hydrant to complete required fire department training. The hydrant being utilized will be the hydrant at 5th Avenue and Ocean Avenue at Silver Lake. During this time residents may experience discolored water. Residents may expect to see a temporary discoloration of water and/or a decrease of pressure when this training is being conducted. We recommend that you avoid running your tap water, using the washing machine or dishwasher. If you do experience this slight discoloration please run cold water through your taps until it runs clear. The water in Belmar is absolutely safe to drink and use.  Thank you for your cooperation.
