The Planning Board hears applications for sub-divisions, site plans, as well as applications for the Seaport Redevelopment and Transit Village. Homeowners within 200 feet of properties being reviewed by the Planning Board are notified of an application and are welcome to voice opinions, concerns or support during the public comment portion of the meeting. The Planning Board is also responsible for the Belmar Master Plan.

Meetings
The Planning Board meets on the 3rd Monday of every month unless otherwise noted. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm and are held in the courtroom in the municipal building.

Notice: The Borough of Belmar does not accept wire transfers or other electronic payments. All planning/zoning board application fees and escrow deposits must be paid by checks payable to “Borough of Belmar” and delivered to the Board Secretary, Borough of Belmar Municipal Building, Belmar Municipal Building 601 Main Street, Belmar, NJ 07719.
Anyone who receives a request purporting to require a wire transfer or other electronic payment to the Borough of Belmar should immediately contact the Board Secretary by phone at 732-681-3700 ext. 225 , because it is a scam.
