Attending Court Instructions

Basic instructions if you are attending court:

If you wish to contest a summons, please call the court at 848-220-9620.  You will then be mailed a date on which to appear in court.

Court sessions are held virtually, on Zoom, with the exception of certain matters, such as trials.  The Zoom information will appear on the court notice you receive in the mail.

When logging into Zoom, make sure you have your first and last name displayed, so that the court knows you are present.  Failure to do so will result in a longer wait time.

Once admitted into the Zoom court session, you may receive an invitation to join a breakout room.  You must accept the invitation, and wait in the breakout room for the prosecutor.  If you leave the breakout room before speaking the the prosecutor, you will lose your place in line, which will result in a longer wait time.

Acceptable methods of payment are cash, check or money order (Belmar Payment, Lake Como Payment, Spring Lake Payment), or you may pay your fine online at www.njmcdirect.com
