Junior Lifeguards

Mission Statement
Our mission at the Belmar Junior Lifeguard Program is to cultivate the next generation of well-rounded water enthusiasts, empowering both young men and women. Through our program, we strive to instill a deep sense of confidence and promote the values of sportsmanship and lifeguarding on the Jersey Shore.

Dates: July 1st – July 31st
Days: Monday through Thursday
Time: 10 am – 12 pm noon
Place: 6th Ave Beach, Belmar
Ages: 6-15 years old (must be six by July 1st )

Registration starts February 1st.

Cost: $170 for Belmar, Lake Como Residents & St. Rose Students; $ 180 for non-resident. Program can only take the first 200 boys and girls. No exceptions can be made once we are at max capacity. (Cost of the program does not include uniforms or tournaments)

Required Uniform:

• A division: 14-15 years old.
• B division: 12-13 years old.
• C division: 9-11 years old.
• D division: 6- 8 years old.

Program Requirements:

1. Age: 6-15 years old
2. Strong Ocean Swimmer: Junior Lifeguards must be able to swim in the ocean independently. They should not require puddle jumpers, floaties, etc.
3. Strong Beach Runner: Junior Lifeguards must be able to run at least a mile.
4. Purchase a Uniform: All new Belmar Jr. Guards are required to purchase the required uniform.

*There are NO tryouts for Belmar Junior Lifeguards*
