Mission Statement The Borough of Belmar Bureau of Fire Safety shall prescribe and enforce fire prevention and safety requirements as adopted by Municipal Ordinance, the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and Nationally recognized fire safety practices, to establish a higher level of fire safety education, life safety and property protection from the hazards created by fire and explosion.

This Bureau within the Department of Code Enforcement is responsible for Fire Inspections of all businesses within the Borough of Belmar, on an annual basis, to ensure that they meet all aspects of the New Jersey Uniform Fire Safety Code. Additional areas of accountability include the investigation of all fires within the Borough and fire safety and prevention education programs.
